Venice Walking Guide

Venice Walking Guide

Alright you guys, here’s my Venice Walking Guide! Venice, Italy was such a one-of-a-kind experience, I know this is going to be one of those places I keep coming back to again and again and again and again. I want to take my whole family, all of my friends, strangers on the street; everyone! I really just can’t express how amazing this city is.

For our trip through Venice, we left the stroller at home. My 2 and a 1/2 year old daughter was just at the in-between age where we kind of needed a stroller, but it was also an inconvenience (she still gets tired walking all day and will definitely take a nap). There are so many stairs in Venice because you’re constantly going over bridges, I figured it would be best to leave the stroller home, but it really is up to you! If you’re little one is small enough to put in a body carrier, I’d highly recommend it. If your kids are older, let them walk and play! As for you, take only a small purse and nothing more. Trust me, there so much to see and do you do not want to be hampered down by a large bag! Be sure to check out my full post of our visit to Venice!

These are some of my favorite stops in Venice, Italy. One of the great things of Venice is really the fact that no matter where you are it’s absolutely breathtaking. If you don’t make it to all the stops don’t worry – just take your time and meander around the city, checking the map once in awhile if you’d like to see the nearest cafe or pizza place. Tap each location on the map to see my description, recommendations and sometimes even photos!

You can open the map on your phone using Google Maps. On the bottom it will give you the option to “View Map Legend.” This will allow you to turn off the various layers, like the Interesting Spots, Shopping and Food layers.

Bonus Tip: Drop a pin in your starting location so you can always easily access directions back. From your pin you can also create your own walking routes through the city! I already have the train station marked, so if you aren’t staying in Venice and are catching a train to the city, it’s already there as your starting point.

I hope you enjoy my Venice Walking Guide! Drop me a comment if you come across an amazing location I should add!
