On one of the chilliest days in February, two awesome friends and I set out to have a little fun out in the middle of nowhere. We spent the entire day swapping between trekking through abandoned buildings and desperately trying to warm up inside the truck. You can’t tell how cold it was by looking at the photos, but Montana in February is downright brutal. Tony (with Big News Photography) and I could no longer feel our cameras, while Kate was dancing around in little more than a cotton sundress. So it’s pretty safe to say she’s a badass.
Even though this was easily one helluva challenging day, it was also a pretty damn awesome one. We all were looking to do an abandoned building photoshoot, and no matter what the weather was planning to do, we were were going to get it done. The cold only made us feel more determined, and even before we got a chance to look at the photos we were excited about what we’d accomplished. Just the fact we stuck it out was something to be proud of!
Sometimes it’s worth it just to go and shoot without having any plans beforehand :).
